Who can attend the 60th Anniversary Gala?
The event is open to all current and former Unity School parents, families, staff, alumni and members of the community that want to show their support. This is an adults only event.

What is the attire?
The Gala attire is “black tie optional.” Guests can choose between glamourous formal attire or a more relaxed option like a cocktail dress. Please dress in whatever you are most comfortable. But, if you want inspiration, think shimmer and shine – after all, this is a diamond jubilee! A wide range of colors is acceptable, including black, jewel tones or dreamy pastels, the choice is yours! For men, tuxedos or dark suits are appropriate. Check out our style board.

Is this event indoor or outdoor?
The event will begin outdoors for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Please enter through the courtyard to the left of the valet. Reminder, the resort is off the ocean, so there may be an ocean breeze. After hors d’oeuvres, the party will move to the inside main ballroom for dinner, entertainment, the auction event, additional cocktails and dessert. The entire event is paved, so no need to worry about uneven terrain or grass.

How much are the tickets and what does the ticket price include?
Tickets go on sale November 1, 2024. Pricing is $250 per ticket prior to December 31, 2024. Starting January 1, 2025, ticket pricing will increase to $275 per ticket. The ticket price is all-inclusive, including valet, drinks, hors d’oeuvres, a plated dinner, and entertainment.

What type of meal can I expect?
There will be passed hors d'oeuvres and a three-course meal.

I have an allergy, what are my options?
Please email gvacha@unityschool.com in the Advancement Office any dietary restrictions.

What type of alcohol is served?
We will have a full open bar with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options that will be served throughout the entire event.

What if I don’t see anything in the Auction Book that I am interested in bidding on? Can I still attend the event?
Of course! Your attendance alone supports the school, and it is a fun way for you to build relationships and memories with the Unity CommUNITY. Our intent is to have something for everyone, so if you have any items that you would love to see at the event, and any leads to acquire them, please let us know.

How do I pay for the auction items I win at the auction?
Prior to the event, all attending and non-attending guests will preregister their credit card before bidding. All winning bids will be automatically charged to your credit card on Monday following the event.

How does the silent auction work? When does is it close?
The silent auction is available online and will open on February 18th at 8 PM to all registered guests and Unity families. You will be sent a link, that you can forward on to family and/or friends that you think would like to participate. The silent auction will close on February 22 at 8:15pm. All items can be picked up in the Advancement office the following week.

How does seating work? What if I don’t have a table?
When purchasing your tickets please list the names of who you would like to sit with, and we will do our best to honor those requests. Otherwise, if you do not have a pre-planned table; no problem at all! You will be seated with attendees in your child(s) grade. This event is about commUNITY, so the more the merrier.

What time will the event end?
The event is from 6:00-11:00 PM.

Where is the auction venue located?
We are so excited to be hosting the event at The Opal Grand Resort at 10 N. Ocean Blvd, Delray Beach, FL 33483, on the northwest corner to A1A and Atlantic Avenue. The Opal Grand Resort stands on the historic foundation of the Seacrest Hotel, established in 1925. We cannot think of a more perfect place to demonstrate the success and growth of Delray Beach and Unity School over these past six decades. Please arrive early to avoid congestion at the valet.
